Who can he trust, when he discovers his own parents have been murdered ? Sexy Steffi, the raving red head who wants him, but why? Dr. Baker, the ever present older meddling colleague with advice he could often times do without. His ex wife, Estelle, or does she and her new truck driver boy friend Stu - still want him dead ? Good bet.In the maze of his drug induced world, our hero, Alex, must figure things out, and fast, or die. This is a story, written by a formerly Yale physician - about an earnest MD hero with problems. Serious problems. Enjoy, Dr. X.September 10, 2013:Note from the Author, Dr. X - One of my goals is to place the reader into the confused mucked up mind of the hero, who is trying to deal with a bad hand of divorce and parental murder, making his sense of reality off kilter, most of the time, thus one of the characters is not fully real, a meddling authority figure cast by inner darkness of a well planned life gone awry and off the tracks into a deep ditch. Can he climb out? That friend may offer to help, but devilishly want him dead. Those readers expecting a straight line story of a character challenged by life and then, nearly broken, ends up illuminated wise and triumphant, near the very last page, will be asking for your 99 cents back, because you will be disappointed, but life is not always that way, sorry. That is why I wrote this weaving narrative. And not some damn medical mystery about a young women in jeopardy, but finds true love on page 12.If you get it, you probably have earned it.
